Inhis early years Koons characteristically worked in series. To name only a few, a series called The New (1980–83) included commercial vacuum cleaners and floor polishers in vitrines; his Equilibrium series (1985) consisted of cast bronze flotation devices and basketballs suspended in fluid; and his Made in Heaven series (1990–91) was a InConversation Jeff Koons Glenn Fuhrman. The FLAG Art Foundation hosted a conversation between Jeff Koons and FLAG founder Glenn Fuhrman, in which the two discuss the dichotomy between sexuality and childhood innocence in Koons’s oeuvre, remaking Made in Heaven with Lady Gaga, what drives Koons to make more work, and JeffKoons uses the postmodern frame to express himself and the human race and he uses many materials. He uses new technology, appropriation and parodies to show the cycle of life and uses air-made things to express it. JeffKoons’s “Balloon Dog (Yellow),” from 1994-2000, part of a retrospective of the artist’s work at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
